TIPS & GUIDELINES FOR AN EFFECTIVE SIGNATURE LOGO

You can have whatever you want in your signature logo and we will create the designs based on the information you give us, but to get the best looking signature branding please read the below tips and guidelines…These tips and guidelines are here to help you get the best looking design..Please be advised that any request to redo the signature logo wording or layout due to not following the below guidelines will incur a $18 revision fee.

😁 The signature should say who you are and the tagline should say what you do. The shorter these are the better the logo will look.

😁 For a timeless signature logo being grammatically correct works best. So start the signature names with uppercase letters with the correct layout. So John Smith is correct, JOHN SMITH or john smith is not correct.

😁 When it comes to branding keep it simple - the simpler the better and the more memorable to your customer base

😁 Tagline will always look better in UPPERCASE letters if 3 words or less

😁 If you want to add graphic design to your signature such as a butterfly or anything else then we can do this for a small fee. Just let us know in the notes section in the order form below. This can be done once you receive your designs.

🤬Avoid all UPPERCASE letters in signature - this will not work. Uppercase letters should only be at the start of each name - So you should have John Smith not JOHN SMITH

🤬 Avoid starting the signature name with lowercase letters - If you start a name with a lowercase letter then there is no anchor point or structure to the signature - So you should have John Smith not john smith

🤬 Avoid breaking the signature with uppercase letters or numbers - For example do not request JoHn SmiTh - It should just be John Smith. Try and avoid John Smith 456 or John2Smith

🤬Avoid underscores _ and try to avoid commas , or any other symbols.

🤬 Website addresses such as www.johnsmith.com rarely work as the signature gets broken up

🤬 Do not go over 3 names or words as this does not look good as a signature logo. 1 or 2 names looks amazing, 3 names we can get away with but more than 3 just doesn’t work as this does not look like a logo. Instead this will look more like a sentence or phrase and the result is a small and messy looking signature.

🤬 Avoid long Tag-lines as they will end up looking small and squashed under your signature and not very readable. Try and keep tag-lines to a maximum of 4 words.

🤬 Adding a middle initial can really change the look of the signature (not for the better) as this counts as an uppercase letter and will take the logo to 3 words - only add a middle initial if you really have to and think about how the uppercase middle initial will impact the overall look.

DO NOT OVER COMPLICATE THE LAYOUT - KEEP IT SIMPLE

This is the wording underneath your signature such as PHOTOGRAPHY etc - A tagline is to tell people who you are or what you do. Please keep it as short as possible. The shorter the better - Please type it exactly how you want it with uppercase and lowercase etc but it usually works best as all uppercase letters. Keep it simple, a signature logo tells people who you are and a tagline tells people what you do..

Would you like an Icon with your tagline such as Facebook or Instagram etc?

Customers only choose a social media icon if their tagline is a Facebook / instagram link or username.

If you selected the Social Media pack what colour background would you like?

If nothing entered then a black background will be given as standard on the social media profile, cover and circle logo.

Any other information or instructions for us?

Enter any other information you would like us to know here - Please note that you have purchased a signature logo package that will result in a signature logo design as advertised. Any request for us to add your own logo or add an alternative image / icon to the design will incur a graphic design charge of $35 - All 20 designs will be sent as standard white color on a black background so you can view with ease so at this stage please do not ask us for different colors or a mix of of different layouts etc
